By consolidating our resources, we are honoring the legacy of Mount Asbury and Greene Hills through the expansion of camp and retreat ministries and enhanced facilities and programs to serve the present and future generations at Camp Penn and Wesley Forest.

CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS

CAMP PENN

A five-year journey of renewal, safety, and expanded ministry.

Phase 1: 2026 thru 2028

Complete Restroom Renovations & Cabin Interior Improvements
Complete renovation of all main cabin restroom facilities and minor updates to cabin interiors, including painting.

Dining Hall Kitchen, Rec Hall, & Chapel AC Renovations
Install HVAC in key buildings and complete renovations including new windows, doors, flooring, electrical upgrades, and roof repairs

Outdoor Creative Spaces
Create self-guided play areas such as a mud kitchen, natural playground, and more for our growing day camp program.

Splash Pad, Pool, & Canteen Enhancement
Add a splash pad, poolside-climbing wall, and enhance the Canteen entrance and landscaping.

Interior Paths & Building Access
Reorient paths and building access to improve safety and connection within camp.

CURRENT PROGRESS

Phase One began in January 2026.

Current Status of Key Initiatives:

Dining Hall Kitchen, Rec Hall, & Chapel AC Renovations
HVAC is installed in the kitchen, Rec Hall, and Nature Center, with Chapel HVAC completion planned by the end of May 2026. Infrastructure upgrades and roof repairs are complete. Historic picnic tables and floors will be refinished this fall.
Restroom Renovations & Cabin Interior Improvements
We are collecting bids and will break ground on new restrooms after the 2026 camping season.

A five-year vision to expand adventure, hospitality, and sacred space.

High & Low Ropes Challenge Course
A new high and low ropes course to build confidence, leadership, and unforgettable adventure experiences.

Dining Hall HVAC & Interior Updates
HVAC installation and interior updates, including updated restrooms, for a more comfortable gathering space.

Lakeside Cabin Villages
Expand with new cabins, a new bath house, renovated structures, and enhanced outdoor spaces for a centralized, growth-focused camp experience.

Lake Enhancements & Programs
Add a giant water slide and other high-energy waterfront program elements.

Welcome Center & Office
Build a year-round Welcome Center with office space and potential camp store.

Penns Creek Program Area
Reimagine the Penns Creek Lodge area for destination programming.

Dining Hall & Site Infrastructure Upgrades
Landscaping, exterior improvements, and infrastructure upgrades.

Current Status of Key Initiatives:

Challenge Course
We are nearing the end of the bid phase. Renderings are coming soon, with the goal of full operation by Summer 2027.
Dining Hall HVAC
We are evaluating HVAC quotes. Interior update plans will be finalized based on the remaining budget.
Lakeside Cabin Village
Preliminary consultation has begun regarding site requirements, capacity scaling, and infrastructure concepts for this complex expansion.
