Wesley Forest

Program Coordinator: Reporting to the Center Director at Wesley Forest, The Program Coordinator at Wesley Forest shall serve the mission of Wesley Forest Camp & Retreat Ministry by designing and implementing experiences, hospitality, and programs throughout the year for youth, families, and adults. In addition to summer camp and year-round retreat programs, the Program Coordinator will assist in the management of the overall camp operation as a member of the staff team.

Dean, Counselor & Volunteer Opportunities

Dean's Counselors Volunteers

Dean's

These adults, including both clergy and lay people, provide leadership and supervision for a camp event. With guidance from the Center Director, deans recruit, train, and supervise the counselors for their session of camp, as well as plan and lead the worship experiences.

Counselors

These are adults, 18 years of age or older, who are responsible for the direct supervision of the campers. Assistant counselors, ages 16 and 17, assist with the elementary camps, but do not have supervisory responsibilities.

To serve as an Assistant Counselor (ages 16-17), you must first be accepted by a summer camp Dean to serve for their week of camp. If you need help connecting with a Dean please contact the Center Director of the camp you wish to serve at. Once accepted by a Dean, Assistant counselors must register for their event through CampBrain. A fee of 50% the cost of the week of camp you are volunteering for will be applied.

Volunteers

Volunteers play a significant role in the overall camp experience. The opportunities we provide help committed people use the gifts and experiences they’ve gained through a personal relationship with God to impact the lives of a small group of campers. You become the bridge between what’s being experienced – the programming to who experiences it – the campers. You become the face and the name that truly brings to life our goal for campers – “Transformed Life.”

Volunteers are chosen for their maturity, personal integrity, skills, patience, and desire to be Christian role models for youth, and share in the spirit of fun and excitement at camp. You may choose to come as a counselor, work in a number of different program areas, or support the maintenance staff, office, or kitchen.

We like having local leaders who have worked in children and youth ministries. Come and be part of changing a life.
